In such moments, a mushroom identification manual would be invaluable. But who wants to lug around a cumbersome book while exploring the undergrowth?

Fortunately, NATURE MOBILE has developed Mushrooms PRO, an app designed to assist smartphone users with mushroom identification and collection. With over 300 species and more than 2000 high-resolution images, this app is a comprehensive resource that doesn't get lost in the thicket. Each mushroom is accompanied by a detailed description and a selection of images capturing different perspectives and stages of growth. This app isn't just for occasional collectors; mycologists will also appreciate its content, which has been curated by Dr. GERHARDT, a respected authority in the field who has authored numerous books and scientific publications on mycology. Dr. GERHARDT's expertise comes from years of experience as an employee and consultant in Mycology at the prestigious Botanical Gardens and Botanical Museum of Berlin.

So how can one identify a mushroom using this app? It offers various search criteria based on visual and other characteristic features that help narrow down the list of potential species.

Additionally, Mushrooms PRO serves as a personal trainer for mushroom enthusiasts. It includes a picture quiz that allows users to test their knowledge by identifying different species. If you're unsure of an answer, don't worry; you have two more attempts before losing a "mushroom life." You can even share your scores on the high score board or via Facebook.

Concerned about the lack of internet connectivity in the woods? Fear not – you only need an internet connection for the initial installation and subsequent updates. Once installed, you can use the app's features offline.

The app is fully available in four languages: German, English, French, and Spanish. Species names are also available in many other languages.

With Mushrooms PRO, users can search and identify species by various criteria, including appearance, scent, edibility, taste, fruit body type, habitat, family, medicinal benefit, and poison content. This comprehensive range of search options ensures accurate species identification.

The app also offers a step-by-step identification process. Users are guided through a series of sophisticated questions that lead them to the specific species they have discovered. The content and questions have been carefully crafted by Dr. Gerhardt, a member of the German Mycological Society.
